Is money important in a relationship? In your opinion
It differs from people, religions and countries. In some countries, money is important in a relationship, especially India. The female side of the family have to pay an large amount of money to the male side for an marriage and this kind of arranged marriage is usually for the sake of money and will most likely not end happily for either of the couple. In Afghanistan, a nineteen year old girl had her ears and nose cut off by her husband and it is the result of an arranged mirage to settle a family rivalry. In my opinion, i feel like a relation only matters when there is love and when the main reason is for money, it is no longer considered as a relationship. Some parents still have the mindsets that their son of daughters should marry a rich person for a better life, however, a marriage without love is meaningless.

In my opinion, no matter in which country, money is always something so important and decisive nowadays. Although there're a few people don't really care about money, who are they? Rich people. Affluent young people may not pay so much attention to their partners' financial condition since they have already had enough money to welcome their happy future life. However, most of the affluent families still want their children to marry someone who has the same economic condition. Meanwhile, poor families often look forward to their children marring someone rich in order to gain a prosperous life or future. As a conclusion, money is important in a relationship nowadays objectively.
ReplyDeleteI disagree. Everyone is equal and fair, no one is indifferent. You are kind of being racist here but it is not the point. Like Josh, i believe that at no matter what country, everyone is the same, taking the marriage as a deal. Don't you always see in television where those greedy people (Regardless of race or religion) would demand more for the marriage gifts or other things? This meant that everyone is treating marriage as a deal, for money but not for love.
ReplyDeleteHowever, i'm convinced by you that love plays a part in the marriage and without love, a marriage is useless. Therefore, i come to a conclusion that love is important but money is more important. No one in this world is not greedy at all, especially when there is a gold mine in front of you for you to dig. Money would play the major role of a relationship but love would be the small actors in the show, making the show nicer.
